Kendake Honey, derived from Kandake, Kadake or Kentake, latinised as Candace, was the term for ‘queen/royal woman’ for several ruling queens of the ancient Kingdoms of Kush. As beekeepers, we understand the operations and behavioural patterns of the worker bees that brings about our honey are centered on the female ‘queen bee’ - hence the choice of the name!
What started as a fascination in the rural parts of Enugu state, Nigeria fast grew into the business that it is today with hives spanning across the equator!

Our raw honey is made from the nectar and pollen of a variety of flora, processing and packaging is at international standards for consumption and use straight from the beehive to our consumers’ tabletops.
